The following steps will take you through a simple, online process to begin submitting your tax preparation information to our team. This ensures a comprehensive tax return and an economic tax preparation fee.

1. Gather Your Tax Documents

NEW CLIENTS: Based on your phone consultation, you will receive a recap of your tax situation with required items to move forward.
RETURNING CLIENTS: Look out for your tax preparation checklist through email.
For New Clients or Returning Clients who have new/updated contact information including new address, new email and/or additional dependent(s) for this tax year, Complete the New Tax Client Checklist.
A VALID email address is REQUIRED to begin tax preparation.

2. Submit Forms To Get Started
Send us your tax documents securely through our secure file upload form exchange and we will alert you through email upon receipt of your items. A tax admin reviews the upload for missing information and contacts you with open items if necessary. All submissions are uploaded to our Secure Client Portal immediately for historical safekeeping. We take the security and safety of your personal information very seriously. Upload Form Page is SSL encrypted through Comodo Secure.

Snail Mail OR Road Trip
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm receipt of mailed package. If you do not have access to a fax machine or scanner, you may also mail your information to us. Do Not Send Originals, Only Photo Copies. We strongly encourage the use of FedEx, UPS or proof of mailing method. Our mailing address is:

3. Tax Preparation Begins –
Clock starts ticking
Once all required documents have been received, your tax preparation will begin. Please make sure we have your preferred email address and phone number for timely communication throughout the tax preparation process. If we are waiting on tax documents, you will be emailed every 7 days. We require all documents to be received by March 31stst to guarantee timely filed returns.
4. Review, Finalize & Approve
Once tax returns are ready for review, we send a secure copy via email. We will request a detailed review of all name(s), address(s), identification number(s) and reported tax return information before approval to efile. If changes are requested, an updated email with final returns will be emailed for final approval.
If you have questions or comments regarding your returns, you can email those directly by replying to the email containing your tax return. We ALWAYS want you to understand your tax returns and feel 110% comfortable about the information being filed. Therefore, a 30 minute detailed review of your taxes via remote meeting or at my Ontario, Ca location will be provided if necessary.
5. Pay, Sign & Deliver
Once you review and approve your tax returns, you are in the homestretch. Just complete these final 3 steps and you are all set!
- Pay tax prep fees electronically. Full payment is required before efiling.
- Give me permission to e-file your taxes. I will provide your authorization forms via secure email from RightSignature which will allow electronic signing of your tax forms. This package will include your tax preparation engagement letter and e-file authorization forms for federal/state tax returns.
This email will be received AFTER CONFIRMATION of no additional changes. For joint filers, 2 emails will be provided that require separate electronic signatures for each taxpayer.
- Read, sign & date your E-Signature forms no later than 1 day after you receive E-Signature email; E-Signature forms over 48 hours will need to be resent & will delay e-filing of your tax returns.
*We utilize RightSignature, a company that meets the IRS Electronic Signature Guidance for Forms 8879s.
Within 3 days after e-filing, you will receive a confirmation email from our tax team advising you that your tax returns have been Acknowledged, Received & Accepted from the appropriate tax agencies.
